bring the party

marketing campaign

Belching Beaver Brewery needed a campaign for a series of endcap displays for Total Wine. As part of the marketing team, and the sole graphic designer, I collaborated with the marketing manager and senior brewery members on campaign goals and direction before settling in and designing the campaign graphically.

I chose a color palette that evoked some of the nostalgia from the 80s and 90s that has been popular. I utilized Adobe Dimension and Photoshop to create the hero graphic used above, and then adapted it for shelf talkers, digital display ads, posters of various sizes and swag.

For the campaign I created a set of branded shelf talkers which highlighted each of Belching Beaver’s core beers. This gave the campaign versatility to be used throughout its retail footprint, no matter what beer a retailer carried. I also wrote the copy for these, creating voices for each of the brands, and having them explain why the consumer would pick them. Below is an example of one of the shelf talker’s copy.

If you’re not into parties you can grab me for some smooth conversation, but don’t worry if I get a little nutty that’s just kind of my thing. Introduce me to your friends who aren’t into beer; my creaminess wins over the toughest of critics. Try me with ice cream for a decadent treat.
